Cookies and localStorage are different
Cookies are small values that a browser can send with requests to a website. localStorage keeps values in a browser for a particular site and does not automatically attach them to network requests. Both can be used to remember preferences.
The static site code does not set cookies. It can save one localStorage entry only when you use the preference button below. Hosting infrastructure or separately deployed services may have their own behavior; this page describes the included site code.
The preference we can save
Key: room-storage-preference
Purpose: remember an essential-only choice in this browser.
Contents: the choice and the time it was saved.
Duration: until removed or cleared through browser settings.
Saving this preference does not turn on tracking. Removing it does not activate optional features either.
No preference needs to be saved to read the guides.
What is not stored by this code
Navigation state and scroll-reveal state exist only in the current page. The contact tool does not write your form entries to localStorage. If you copy a message or download it, your clipboard or downloaded file is managed separately by your device.
Use your browser controls
You can inspect or delete site data in your browser’s privacy or site settings. Blocking localStorage may prevent the preference buttons from saving a value, but does not stop you from reading the guides. Clearing site data does not delete emails you have sent, downloaded files or clipboard history.
